Is there any chance on the next update a My Photos tab could be included?

This is something I've been wanting to do for a while - i'll move it to the top of my list and add it shortly. I'm on holiday from Friday for a week, so it may not happen until after then.

Being new to premium and all that, and not much of a photographer to be honest (but I try), is there a page with the basic parameters and requirements for uploading photos? I tried uploading one as a .jpg which I didn't think was all that big, but apparently it was too large (couldn't seem to make that work by my usual tricks, none of which would impress a true shutter-bug around here!). Photos aren't what I intend to contribute much of, but from time to time I might like to upload one here or there.

I don't want to be a bother and clog up forum space with questions that are readily answered elsewhere. If it's a worthy new topic, though, I'm happy to make it one! :) If someone with experience could give me a few pointers, I sure would be obliged. Occasionally, I snap a lucky picture which looks (to me) like it's worth looking at, and I wouldn't mind sharing some of those with the site. Most of my pics are crap, and I wouldn't dare subject you all to having to see those! lol

Hi Brian,

I'm not quite sure what you're doing wrong - do you receive an error?

There aren't really much in the way of requirements, it just needs to be a JPG, and less than 20mb. I'd be surprised if the image was any larger than this.

Images are resized to a maximum width of 1024 and max height of 768, so it's worth resizing to this before uploading, as your image editing software may do a better job of processing than the server might.

I think my first attempt was just too big, or not really sure what I did. I haven't experienced a problem since that first one. Thanks.

There must be more to this than just size. I've just tried to upload an image 1024x683 198kb which was rejected as too big. Tried same image at 1000x667 191kb also rejected as too big.

Would love to know the answer myself .
