I was wondering about the possibility of changing this feature to be based on just the Aircraft Model, instead of Model and Type.

Then it will, for example, say how many 747's you have seen instead of how many 747-430s, 747-436s, 747-422s etc.

I would support this, to a point.

It would be good to have model type but not subtype. ie, I would not want just 737s, 747s etc, all variants together. But I do agree with compiling -400s, -300s etc together. After all in the case of Boeing the -236, -230, etc was just a customer code.

I would also love this feature

yep it does seem strange when looking at the list there are very few Boeings in there (except the 737-8AS obviously seen too many Ryanair )

not quite sure how feasible it would be going by how the types are recorded in the database
