November 1945 my Dad named a DC3 C-47A-DL after me - the week I was born. I'm searching for the registration details. A tail number from Aero Transport Data Bank assigned to the fleet that would match the approximate year of mfg, doesn't match the rest of the data in PlaneLogger. I'm new to PlaneLogger. Is it appropriate for me to list the data I do have for assistance from the Forum? Thanks.
yes need serial aircraft name and construction number if you have it
Thanks so much for the response. Here's what I have, pieced together from ATDB and (after I posted on your Forum) from a site called abcdlist.nl
When I was researching on Plane Logger, only the first Reg. # came up (86583) but I don't believe either of them was my a/c. That's why I posted.
Reg: N86583 Serial: 19411 Origin: 42-100948 U.S.A.F. Construction: C-47A-75-DL Built: 07/1944 (which is why I think it may be the a/c christened with my name.
The second DC3 is: Reg: N58121 Serial: 34353 Origin: 45-1083 U.S.A.F. Construction: C-47B-50-DK Built: 12/1945
Sure would appreciate anything you can tell me.
try here and here

http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/AirframeDossier.php?Serial=38832

and this all i can find from my sources.
To find one with your name on you would need a dedicated site for that. otherwise all you will get is basic information. personally i dont trust ATDB i have found some of their info incorrect at times. and that is going back at least 10 years

Hi Avitrix45,
What is your name? If an aircraft is named, it is often listed in the notes section. While you cant search for this on the site, I can do so in the database. Either post your name on here, or email me at webmaster@taxiwayalpha.com and I'll have a look for you.
