Comments	w/o 08.6.1978 crashed on gunnery ranges 17 miles from Edwards AFB, CA; During ammunition certification tests the a/c made a fourth (of five) firing pass, 100 rounds per pass, but experienced secondary gun gas ignition in front of the GAU-8 muzzle, causing oxygen starvation of the engines necessitating emergency shut-down (double 'flame-out'). Pilot ran out of altitude and ejected before he could re-light the cooling engines (with 6510 TW/AFFTC);
