Comments	w/o 09.2.1974 in mid-air collision with NKC-135A 55-3120 at FL230 near Colorado Springs, CO; the T-39 was en-route from Petersen AFB, CO bound for McClellan AFB, CA, and experienced landing gear failure after take-off; the NKC-135A en-route from Seattle to Kirtland AFB, NM, offered to make a visual inspection of the underside of the T-39 to try to see the problem but during the manoeuvre the T-39 struck the tail of the NKC-135A, lost control & crashed (with 2852 ABG); the NKC-135A suffered only minor damage and made a safe landing at Kirtland AFB;
