| Comments | w/o 18.05.69 while refuelling two USMC F-4B's (152270 & 151450 from VMFA-314). All three a/c were descending in a "tobogganing" manoeuver while heading southbound in the vicinity of the Hue Phu Bai, South Vietnam Coastline. A separate USMC F-4B (151001 with VMFA-542) was heading in a generally westbound direction toward the Hue Phu Bai military area & struck the KC-130F almost head-on with a closing rate of approximately 700kts TAS. The KC-130F (with VMGR-152) cr into the sea with 151001 & 151450. 152270 made it safely to Chu Lai AB. | |||||||||||||||
