Aircraft seen in flight

Hi,

I was just wondering if you seen an aircraft flying above you, do you count that as the first spotting? or only if you see it at an airport?

Right now I add the aircraft if I see it overhead but if I then see at at an airport I delete the OTT spotting and add the spotting to the airport.

Since I discovered this site, I also do the same. It's always down to personal choice - after all, it's only a hobby & it has no rules beyond each individual's own disciplines. Enjoy it as you wish to do so.

I class it as seen, once I have seen it wherever it is. I only add the registration once, regardless of however many times I see it in the future so that my count is unique registrations only, but personal choice of course.

I also class it as seen what is difference between seeing at 37000ft and at 10 feet at a airport reading its reg yourself. long as the internet site is reliable in its info on the aircraft. next query if you see aircraft lights(navigation and red flashing lights) at night does it count.
