Hi, set this threat up for reporting duplicate/variant airline names.
Alitalia: there is a "cofiri Alitalia" (Cofiri is a merchant bank) with four aircraft listed: I-DIBR/S/T/U
Dougie
Hi Dougie,
I have updated these aircraft, they are all now in http://www.planelogger.com/Airline/Fleet/Alitalia
Thanks, Ben
Hi Ben, editors.
A310 VP-BAF is listed as being with Pol-Kuwait Airways and Pol-Oasis. Two to clean up for the same frame!

Hi
Qatar Airways includes:
Qatar Airways (Amiri Flight)
Qatar Airways - Qatar Amiri Flight
SALE - Qatar Airways
Suggest that the two Amiri Flights be combine and SALE-QR merged into Qatar Airways?
Cheers
Hi Dougie,
thanks, the mess has been cleared.
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi, Varig has multiple duplicate entries (Varig Log) as well as many mixed entries. Could do with a clean up.
Cheers
Hi Dougie, I have fixed the multiple Varig entries.
Ben
Well done whoever tidied up British European Airways, a good job :)

Dennis
Hi Dougie,

Dennis
Thanks Dennis,
May I remind about "Argentina"; multiple entries for Argentine Navy, Argentine Air Force and also Aerolineas Argentinas.
Cheers
Argentina is also done now
Dennis
Hi Dennis
Argentina much improved, though there are still a couple of entries duplicated
Argentina Gendarmeria Nacional and Gendarmeria Nacional Argentina
LAPA - Lineas Aereas Privadas Argentinas S. A., LAPA - Lineas Aereas Privades Argentinas S.A., LAPA Argentina and Lineas Aereas Patagonia Argentina
Thanks v.much Dougie
Hi,
Argentina Gendarmeria Nacional done. Unfortunately I cannot do LAPA as all entries ending with a . (dot) produce a runtime error. Maybe Gavin, the site administrator can merge them...?
Dennis

Can you have a look at Aeroflot listings. There is one for "Russian Airline" and one for "Soviet Airline". Is there a difference ?
Ron
Hi Ron,
yes, "Soviet" was the airline's name prior the demise of the USSR. "Russian" is past this time as the airline was primarily for Russia. The old aircraft should have had their markings started with CCCP as nowadays they begin with RA (or rather VP- or VQ-). So we'll keep them seperatly.
Cheers,
Dennis
Fellow Spotters, Could we please merge "(West) German Air Force," "West German Air Force," "German Air Force," and "Ministry of Defence-Luftwaffe" (SIC)? Only one is a warbird from prior to the Allied occupation. We have some flying Luftwaffe warbirds here: I would favor tossing them all into "German Air Force" whilst leaving "East German Air Force" separate. Danke Schön, Jonathan
Dear Jonathan,
I have merged all entries to one German Air Force file as proposed. I have left also the former East German Air Force to remain separate.
Bitte sehr :-)
Dennis
Good morning
Westair has many variations on a few themes:
Un Ex Westair; Un Ex Westair comm; Unex Westair; Unex Westair Comm airlines... to name a few.
Westair; Westair comm; westair commuter; westair comm airlines
Also Pel Air Qwestair and pelair express qwestair.
Could these be tidied up please?
Thanks
Hi Dougie,
both done.
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi
Can El Al airlines be checked, because 4X-EAN seems to be on its own under "El Al" not under "El Al israel Airlines" Fleet.
Ron
Hi Ron,
thanks. Both have been merged.
Dennis
Hi
Can you, please, check Olympic Airways? Several aircraft marked as ILFC-Olympic Airways
Many thanks
Alex Mourinha
Just a quick note to say thanks for doing all of these. I imagine it takes a fair bit of time. For me, as a user, it is a big help. Cheers.
Hi Alex,
thanks for the heads up with Olympic. All done now.
@Dougie
You're very welcome. Just let us know if you discover anything.
Cheers,
Dennis
Hello Dennis, When I enter 168851 into "Search for Registration" it returns P-8A Poseidon. When you search for airline "United States Navy" it returns 737. Clicking on the 737 list you get a list of P-8A's and C-40A's. When I enter "View my Sightings" and search 168851 it returns 737-8VF. Now entering 168856 into "Search for Registration" it returns P-8A Poseidon. However, when one enters "View my Sightings" and searches 168856 it returns P-8A Poseidon. The effect of this disparity is found in "Top Aircraft Models" because the system is viewing the 737-8VF and P-8A as different models. This problem is really magnified when you put (W) or /W behind the jets with winglets. My proposed solutions to gain consistency are as follows: 1.) List US military aircraft by their military model number (P-8A or C-40A rather than 737). 2.) After market winglets note in parentheses. 3.) For factory winglets use the manufacturer's model number (virtually all Airbuses were delivered with factory winglets.) I recognize I'm trying to change the world and that a lot of this is due to the nature of the original databases that were assimilated to create PlaneLogger. I can see these types of global recommendations would take a long time to implement. I also am mindful that PlaneLogger usually refers to the model number at the time of delivery from the manufacturer with the obvious major exception of after market winglets. Love the website. Jonathan
Hi Gary or Dennis,
Former US Airways aircraft do not appear in American Airways fleet lists, could they be added?
Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
can you provide a sample reg please, so I can check what is wrong?
Thanks,
Dennis
Hi Denis,
Sorry for the confusion Denis, it was me, they are there, they have been stored.
Mike
Hi Dennis
Could you have a look at Netjets Europe fleet. Double entries for Cessna 560
Ron
Hi Ron,

Hi Dennis,
Could you merge Invicta Airlines into Invicta International Airlines and add:
G-AOCC Vickers 755D Viscount, c/n 93 delivered 1 February 1968
G-AZRE Vickers V952 Vanguard, c/n 729 delivered 1 March 1973
The fleet list is incomplete as there were also 2 Viscounts and 6 Vanguards.
Kind regards
Mike

Hello, Looks like "Emirates" needs to be combined with "Emirates Airline." At least for the ones I saw everything before October is "Emirates Airline," whilst everything after September is "Emirates." (On their website and on their livery they're just calling themselves "Emirates." Thanks, Jonathan
OK, thank you Dennis, will do.
Hi Jonathan,
I already merged those two back in fall (must have been September) to have all planes listed with one entry "Emirates". I also looked up their legal name and it is just Emirates with nothing added (no Airline or Airlines).
Unfortunately this doesn´t change your existing entries logged before September. These need to be changed manually.
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi Dennis, Can you merge EuroAtlantic Airways and Euro Atlantic Airways. Thanks Mike

Hi Dennis
There are aircraft listed under "Reconnaissance Venture" and some under "RVL Group".
I believe these are the same because Reconnaissance Venture trades under RVL Group
name. So can come under both, but for simplicity can they be mated up.
Ron
Hi Dennis
There is also aircraft under RVL Aviation is that part of the RVL Group.
Ron
Ron,
done
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi
Aerolineas Argentinas is also listed as Aerolineas Arg.

Hi, not really airline names issue but types within...
Aeroflot Russian Airlines has separate listings for Tu-154; Tupolev Tu-154; and again Tu-154.
Could these be merged?
Thanks
Hi again
British Mediterranean Airways is listed as Br Mediterranean Airlines, British Mediterranean and SALE-British Mediterranean.
Could these please be merged into British Mediterranean Airways, which I believe was the correct registered name.
Thanks
Hi Dougie,
these need to be altered manually. I am in the process of streamlining this but with the overwhelming mass of aircraft it´ll take time...
I have merged British Mediterranean...
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi
Haiti Trans Air and Haiti Trans Air rt
Can you merge these 2 ?
Many thanks
Alex Mourinha
Hi
Can you, please, merge USAir and US Air?
Many thanks
Alex Mourinha
Hi Dennis, Could you have a look at Skytrans Regional as it has nine variations. Mike
Hi,
Would it be possible to correct or merge some South African airlines?
South African express and South African express airlines is the same airline.
Comair, Kulula, Kulula.com and Comair-Kulula is all the same company.
Airlink SA express might also be incorrect?
Hi David,
I have made a big clean up with all the South African carriers and had to shift some planes between Comair and Kulula.com which are one company but operate different fleets. Also sorted Airlink and Express...
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
Thank you very much.
David
Hi Dennis,
Down the line, when you get time, the Buffalo Airways fleet needs consolidating.
Mike
Hi Mike,
done :-)
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi there
In addition to Aeroflot Soviet Airlines and Aeroflot Russian Airlines, there are also two listings just for Aeroflot; one is blank and the other just has two aircraft listed. Could these be tidied up?
Cheers
Airline search for "Liberia" has masses of duplication.

Cheers,

Cheers,
Dennis
Hi there
Is there a difference between Silk Way Airlines and Silk Way West Airlines. If not can these two be merged together.
Can Tyrol Air Ambulance GmbH & Tyrol Air Ambulance be merged together
Ron
Hi there
Can you deal with my request I sent on 12/02/18
Ref Is there a difference between Silk Way Airlines and Silk Way West Airlines. If not can these two be merged together.
Can Tyrol Air Ambulance GmbH & Tyrol Air Ambulance be merged together
Ron
Hi Ron,
Tyrol Air Ambulance has been merged.
There is a difference between the two companies, that is why your request has not been processed. Silk Way West uses ICAO abbreviation AZG and IATA 7L while Silk Way has ICAO AZQ and IATA ZP. I do think that Silk Way West has taken over main operations but they are different companies.
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi Dennis
Airline search for DHL comes up with lots of duplication. DHL Astar is there 3 times as is DHL Expresso.... DHL International is four times that I saw.
So, when you have some time....
Thanks
Hi Dougie,
done.
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi Dennis
Just had a look for Japan Government 747 and saw that the airlines page for Japan has a lot of dupes as well - numerous Self Defence Force, Maritime Self Defence, etc. Would benefit from a tidy up.
Cheers
Hi Dougie,
done.
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi Dennis
T'Way Air of Korea (south); listed in the Airlines of Korea as Tway, without the apostrophe, but clicking on that there is no fleet listed. Going by registration, it brings up T'Way with the apostrophe but clicking on that goes to an error page - i think the database doesn't like one letter names!
So it's not possible to see the fleet. Perhaps list it under TWay without the apostrophe?
Cheers
Hi Dennis
Can Shell Aircraft Ltd/Shell Aircraft Limited & Shell Aircraft be amalgamated into one.
Ron
Hi Dennis,
In "airlines", under Sri Lanka there is a listing for "Sir Lanka SF"
Strongly suspect this is a typo, rather than a former name for their air force!
There are 3 aircraft listed, so worth shifting them from "Sir" to "Sri"
Cheers
Both Shell and Sri Lankan Air Force done
Dennis
Hi Dennis
There are separate listings for Trans Maldivian Airways and Trans Maldivian Airlines. I think these are one and the same. Yesterday saw 8Q-TMY in Trans Maldivian Airways colours but it is listed under "...Airlines"
