It's been 3 years since PlaneLogger launched, so I thought it was time for a bit of a makeover. What do you think?

It's mainly cosmetic at the moment, but it gives us a nice foundation to build upon. The aircraft registration page has been vastly improved, and over the next few weeks MySightings/MyFlights will be getting similar makeovers.

I'd love to hear your comments, and suggestions, and if you find any issues, please let me know :)

I really like the new layout and all, I find it much more pleasing to the eye and much more user friendly. The colour palet choice however, not my favourite LOL.

I too like the new layout/template. The colour schema is taking a little getting used to, but no big issues.

Previously on Planelogger I used to enter a reg which it then asked me to view. When viewed it then told me whether I had seen or not seen this aircraft yet. If not seen then we had to check the box and then proceed to enter New Sighting. Is this facility not available any more?

I like the new format and its a welcome change! The font is great but I'm not keen on the color scheme as it makes reading hard. I love that now my sightings are shown from most recent to oldest. I have a suggestion for a future update and that is to have the option for "Add Heard" just as you have "Add Flight". I listen to aircraft all over the world, through the internet and this might be a nice option to help logging. If this is not something the group would use then I understand. Also love the sighting map that has been added! Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to the upcoming updates!

1. I really like the idea of Nothern Contrails for a new Add Heard section as I to enjoy "spotting" planes via radars all around the world.
2. Would it be possible to go back to the old fashion of adding a date where you have a calendar pop-up? I found it much easier to pick a date that way.

Hi there I need your help, because I've been off line for a week (computor trouble) and imagine my surprise to find a different format when I returned. I thought I was on the wrong page. At the moment I cannot search for individual aircraft histories and in My sightings, when I link back fron an aircraft registration I get server error. Ron

For those that don't like color(I Do) perhaps you can put in option to change.

Really like the fresh design of the site, just 1 thing from my personal preference that has been lost since the change and that the full sighting history, its reverted to the last 12 views. I always liked seeing who logged the aircraft first after its delivery and if anyone had seen it on the same day as my capture!

Also although not related to the new update and not sure if it has been asked before but when adding multiple sightings the option to select the aircraft rather than the computer picking the first reg in the database would be a massive bonus.

This was a bug, which is now resolved

When viewed it then told me whether I had seen or not seen this aircraft yet.

This should still be the case. On the right, above the buttons, it should say whether you have seen it or not, a list of all your flights/sightings on the aircraft should then appear above the list of everyone elses sightings.

I reduced this to fit in with the size of the map to the right. I'll add a link allowing you to see the full list of sightings.

Still cannot get any aircraft histories. When put reg/airline in box nothing happens.

Or when I link back a reg from My sighting I either get a completely different reg history

or it gives a screen saying Aircraft not found - selected aircraft not in database (when

obviously it is.).

Was very used to the old site so it took a little while to get used to it but yes I do like the new design now.

Only one comment, the colours for markers of aircraft that are flown or just seen are very similar. Is it possible to have flown aircraft a different colour like red or light blue, to make it more different to the black?
