question for webmaster

I noticed that Continental(now United) is listed twice:

Continental Airlines and Continental Air Lines

Should these be merged?

Thx and Holiday Greetings

Hi Jeff,

the precessor (one of them) of United is Continental Air Lines and is as such in the database.

The "other" Continental Airlines has nothing to do with Continental as the fly (or flew) Sabre aircraft.

If you think that there is an aircraft that should be merged please send me the registration and I take care of it.

Cheers,

Dennis

58 of my Continental Air Lines posts were put into Continental Airlines. That is where they were grouped into when I entered the registration number.

Just as a note, I have a photograph of every reg# I have posted.

Thx - if you are in the UK, I hope you are doing OK with the flooding.

NIKONJEFF: I've updated the sightings, so they all now show as "Continental Air Lines", and are all grouped together.

I'm not quite sure how it happened, but my guess is that they were originally in the database as "Continental Airlines", and you marked them as seen when they were named this way. They were then renamed/merged into "Continental Air Lines" afterwards, so any added after this happened would use the new name.

If anyone else encounters something similar, drop me an email at webmaster@taxiwayalpha.com and I'll rename them for you.

I just noticed the same issue with Delta Airlines and Delta Air Lines.

Thx

Jeff, can you give me a sample registration?

Dennis
