My deepest condolences to all freinds and family of those onboard. something you never want to hear.
Indeed, never something you want to hear. Sadly it seems all 142 passengers and 6 crew have been killed. Aircraft appears to have made a 3,000 foot per minute descent from 38,000ft to around 10,000ft where it collided with a mountain.
There are reports that the aircraft in question had just returned to service following maintenance yesterday in Düsseldorf.
What a desaster. Lots of press people here at DUS Airport where i work. It is hard to understand why the aircraft descended for 10 minutes without any change in course until it collided with the mountains.
Gives me a bad feeling in my stomach as i have my next Germanwings flight in two days.
