Hi,

I have a 10 hour stop over in Hong Kong soon and was thinking of going to the observation deck, I just wanted to know if its accessible from airside or will I have to go through immigration? If I do need to go through immigration is it actually worth the hastle?

The HK observation deck is landside.

It does have a panoramic view of the aprons and if they are landing on the 25 runways (mostly in Spring and Summer), then you can get very good landing shots. Regs are easy. No food or drinks though. I'd say it's worth it.
