Comments | Ex US Army OH-58A-BF 71-20869. With No. 3 Canadian Forces Flying Training School at CFB Portage, Manitoba, with orange markings over camouflage. Flew lead in the 1977 and 1978 Dragonflies demonstration team. Damaged on 16 June 1979 while with the School, repaired and returned to service. Used by reserve squadrons at CFB Downsview, Ontario in the 1980s. Damaged during forced landing following loss of power near Paint Lake, Ontario, June 1987, while operated by No. 411 Squadron crew. With No. 408 (Tac Hel) Squadron at CFB Edmonton in February 1995. Carried special "Canada Goose" paint scheme for fleet retirement in March 1995. Preserved, on display at the RCAF Memorial Museum at Trenton, Ontario. Still had special paint scheme as late as April 2005. | |||||||||||||||
